FAQ
What is the best way to clean my court?
DO NOT PRESSURE WASH YOUR COURTS!
All acrylic coatings are softer when wet and are more prone to damage. The primary method of cleaning the surface should be a leaf blower. A very soft brush with mild soapy water may also be used if needed. Do not use harsh chemicals.
Do not use squeegees, snow shovels, snow blowers, etc. to clear court surface. Puddles can be blown with a leaf blower or pushed with a court drying roller. Courts should be completely dry before use.
Is any routine maintenance required?
Acrylic sports courts are low maintenance, but not no maintenance. The best maintenance is to treat it with care. Do not allow roller blades, scooters, or bikes on your court. Adjust your sprinklers so they do not spray the court surface, and never play on the courts when wet.
Before winter, take down your net and use a leaf blower to remove any residual debris. In the spring, wait for the snow to melt. Never use a snow shovel, snow blower, or squeegee to remove the snow.
Acrylic typically needs to be resurfaced every 4 to 6 years.
Do I need to hire an excavator first?
Nope! We prefer to build our courts from the ground up so that we can control the quality all the way through.
Do you install lighting?
We do! We have a fantastic supplier who provides lighting specifically designed for sports courts. It directs the light onto the playing surface and not at your neighbors house. We provide the light poles and fixtures as well as the concrete footing they go on. You’ll just need to provide the electrician to run power to the court (or check out our solar options).
Why is post tension concrete better than regular concrete?
Post tension is the gold standard for sports courts because cracks don’t stand out and it’s engineered to last.
Fencing is out of my budget. Can I do it later?
Absolutely! We typically install the fencing in a concrete apron surrounding the court which can be easily done at a later time.
